A year later, whilst continuing to volunteer at the hospital after its relocation to Soldridge, she also took on the role of charity secretary – a post that she filled for the next 7 years. In 2013 she was both surprised and delighted to be asked if she would also become a trustee and had no hesitation in accepting the invitation.
